There’s a man on a bridge, and he wants to jump off
To know once and for all if the landing is soft
But he doesn’t have the courage to do
What his enemies would like him to do

Because he stole it all
And his reward is a shot to the head
And they won’t give up the hunting
Until his body is loaded with lead

So he doesn’t have many options you see
You run or you jump, according to me
But he knows that the latter will ruin her life
So he gets down from the ledge and goes home to his wife

Because she owns a part of his heart
She’s owned it for a very long time
And she’s grown accustomed to being
A lover and a partner in crime
